Would you love them if you knew?

Would you love them if you knew?

Would you hold her hand or kiss his lips if they let their secret slip?

If she pushed you away would you understand why?

Would you save his dignity & pride? Would you help him die?

Medication will keep people alive but politics keep their price too high.

While we sit & hide our eyes our poor continue to suffer & die.

Waiting lists for affordable drugs grow while our nation engages in war after war.

Fear sends our money overseas to fight foreign ideologies.

HIV thrives because of a diseased society. I don't mean someone's sexuality. I mean the greed and arrogance of that sweet dream of financial prosperity.

People fear a disease of the body while clinging to this disease of their soul.

These blind of heart believe they hide their bigotry behind religiosity.

Gay or Straight HIV does not discriminate.

Do you know your status?

Do you tell people who need to know?

Do you take responsibility for the part you play in contributing to this crisis?

Do you use your voice to share light or do you perpetuate the darkness?

Would you hold her hand or kiss his lips if they let their secret slip?

Would you love them if you knew?
