Introduction to a book of poetry I presented to Frank Malaba for his birthday on Sept. 7, 2014

On May 16, 2014, I sent a ‘friend request’ to you. The next day my life changed.

It became more beautiful and filled with new joy. During the days that followed we sent hundreds of messages to one another. Together we realized something incredible was happening.

When you turned the light of your life toward me my world trembled and my life changed. My journey became easier, my purpose clearer, and my future brighter. I knew after many years of waiting that in a very special way I was no longer alone and that a long search had ended.

A new journey has begun. You are my Muse. As I sit and write this letter I remain filled with the most genuine joy and love for you. You inspired all of these poems. You are in each of them.
